The annual International Street Art Festival Linz presents street artists in many different ways: circus artists, comedy acts, live music bands and many more. It’s fun to walk through the streets of Linz and watch the artists performing (by the way: there are no entry fees), here are some pics I took during the last street art festival in July 2010:

Brass band performing:

Crazy guys everywhere:

There are also many arty articles sold:

Another crazy artist up in the air:

There are also many live music bands performing:

I was wondering what they were doing?! Any suggestions?

Before you leave, have a beer brewed from curative water. I always knew that drinking beer is a healthy thing.

The highest mountain of Austria is the “Grossglockner”. At 3.798m above sea level it is one of the highest mountains of the alps at all. To make it easy to explore the beauty of the countryside around that mountain the Grossglockner High Alpine Road was built between 1930 and 1935. And everybody who knows that scenic road would agree with me that it is a stunning experience driving it: awsome outlooks everywhere, every point of the road is surrounded by the great high alpine landscape.
The outlooks are great, but the details are great as well. For example, here’s a still I found near a rest area along the road – isn’t it very beautiful?

For starters here’s an image I took about 2 years ago; it’s in black and white, not because I didn’t own a color film cam that time, but because I simply think it looks much better this way. The photo shows the ancient castle of Arbesbach in northern Austria – or better saying the remains of the castle.
